This is what I shoot with on most of my projects so that I have the most flat possible looking image which allows me to adjust the colors further yet get more latitude out of my images. I also have another version of this LUT (.vlt file) that you load onto your Panasonic camera. I created a custom LUT for converting Panasonic V-Log L to the standard Rec. The LUT converts the color space to bring back all the colors without any shifts, but do it without decreasing the dynamic range of the footage (which is what happens when using the standard Film to Rec709 LUT from Blackmagic Design). If you own the URSA Mini 4.6K and like the maximum dynamic range of the film LOG profile, but don’t like its flat and colorless look, then this LUT is for you. I know the best way to apply your plugin would be to add it to an adjustment layer on top of the timeline so then you only have to add it once. I dont know if this problem was down to my mac not being able to handle so many plugins or was it down to your plugin itself?.i just dont know. I then imported this one file back into FCP X and then added your LUT to the Single clip and all was fine again. I then had to strip the video of your plugin and just render a pure ungraded but edited hq prores file instead. I managed to keep reopening the program to finish my edit but again I was faced with the crashing issue when it came to rendering, which meant in the end that I couldn't render the final video. As I got to the latter end of my timeline, adding your LUT to clip after clip FCP X constantly crashed with some strange plugin error. I had a timeline with around 30 clips in it (prores bmpcc files).Īs I go through each clip on the timeline I add your LUT and then make minor adjustments and then move onto the next. I had some issues with the plugin yesterday however.
